As you may be aware your child will be taking their KS2 Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs) in English and Maths on Monday 12th May 2014. The reforms to the SATs now mean the exams have become stringent. Major changes have been made to the 2013 SATs exams for Key Stage 2 pupils in the UK.
This means students will now be preparing for their spelling, grammar and punctuation exam, and there will be no writing paper. Instead the students will be assessed through various projects and written tasks carried out in schools.
KS2 SATs will be held in the week beginning 12 May 2014. The tests timetable is as follows:

Newham London Tuition Centre is hosting its annual study programme specifically designed for Year 6 students preparing for their SATs exams. They will be in a classroom environment with fellow students whereby they will thoroughly revise the content of the exams first, and then go on to practicing past papers whilst receiving personalized help to match the students’ needs.
Prices start from £5 per hour for existing students only, and £6.50 for external students. The programme will start from as early as January 2014. For those parents/guardians who are interested in enrolling their children, please ensure you register your interest at the main office, as there are limited spaces only and these classes are on a first come first serve basis!
Currently, we have decided to run these booster sessions throughout the year, to prepare current and new students for their sats, and aim for our students to sit the Level 6 papers.
